Thai Profile

Baan  Dvara-Prateep

Located by the Chao Praya River bank where the Thai national heritage has long been gradually cultivated, Baan DvaraPrateep was initially built to be a resort house for the studying of the Thai culture. The design of the house is based on the concept of simplicity, yet cozy and comfortable enough for one to embrace with the Thai way of living by the riverside.

The house is founded by Arjarn Kasemsook Bharmornsatit, who involved in the local education and successfully piloting the emotional quotient development in both teachers and students. Her introduction of the programs called “Edkit & Happiness Camp” and “The Happiness for Kids through teachers” to the public schools in the eastern provinces of Thailand are of so impressive results that there are quite a numbers of requests from many local and international institutes for course inspections. There are also many requests from business and private sectors that she provides courses to help instill that emotional quotient for their management and executive members, and that she tailor-made some other courses for management developments with regards to emotions. Some examples of the courses are “The Triple E”, a path for one to become a graceful and beloved leader or “The Recognition Creation”, a path for one to be well recognized and to be well accepted by people around. Since then Baan DvaraPrateep profile has shifted to serve for both Thai cultural study and various corporate executive training.

Ajarn Kasemsook has been suffering from her own illness and the consequence of her two major accidents that she was seriously injured and went through major operations. However, to everyone's surprise, she looks so physically and mentally healthy that she has then been a focal point for press and publics on how she could possibly take good care of herself. The secret she reveals is “The Body and Mind Solution”, her own invented exercises adapted from Thai Classical dances, which helps strengthen her body, her blood circulations and her emotion. This exercise has been well utilized by both herself and others she has shared her secret with over the past 13 years. “The Kasemsook Movement for Better Health & Mind” is another exercise she initiated and developed for teachers and students of the Pattaya city, and is also well received by many organizations later on. From these facts, apart from being a culture and management training center, Baan DvaraPrateep inevitably becomes a house of retreat. “The Passive Retreat” program is for those who need to be in a health recovery program and “The Passive Treatment” program is for those who concentrate on health care without taking any medical or supplements.

Today, Baan DvaraPrateep, for once and always be a very relaxing resort house, is a perfect place to for both a “corporate executive training and development” as well as a “Health & Holistic by Nature Wellness” center without loosing its charm to allow everyone who steps in to also being able to extract all those traces of beauty by the Chao Phraya River way of living.
